You don't have to be a trained coach to leverage this skillful and conscious tool to be in better, more harmonious relationships with others.
What is a Designed Alliance?
Designed Alliance is an elegant, yet simple method to structure your working and personal relationships with purpose, focus and empowerment around an experience or event.
A Designed Alliance becomes a central device to strengthen output and get the job done. Together.
Why a Designed Alliance works
The most surprising point in a relationship that can jeopardize an experience is before it even starts. Creating an ‘alliance’ is about connecting with each other, laying the foundation, and designing a plan that will keep you on track.
Not being clear about your expectations or intentions for an event, and not having full context about how you and another person are showing up for the event or experience you’re designing for can lead to miscommunication and disappointment.
Designing an alliance helps to avoid these pitfalls, prepares you to recover more quickly from unexpected roadblocks, and sets the intentions and outcomes you want so you both can remain focused and purposeful.
Start With Experience:
In the "Creating a Designed Alliance" training video and workbook, Co-Active Training Institute co-presidents and certified Co-Active coaches (CPCC) Carey Baker and Carlo Bos teach you why designing an alliance is important, how it improves your relationships, and the repeatable steps to building an effective alliance.
In this 20-minute video and companion workbook, you will:
- Understand what a Designed Alliance is, and what it is not.
- Witness a demonstration using a real life situation Carey and Carlo are preparing for and need to have a designed alliance in place to improve their relationship and outcomes.
- Be guided through your own exercise of how to design an alliance with someone else.
