Community,
This message is a follow-up to our first communications about how CTI will be engaging with the context and work of diversity, equity and inclusion. Since our initial message on June 9, 2020, we have been slowing down to listen and learn in order to create a deeper level of awareness of where we are in this cultural transformation. As an organization that is devoted to evoking transformation, we know that this phase of awareness is necessary and something that will be ongoing, even as we enter stages of analysis and action.
Many of you have reached out to us directly with feedback, thoughts and ideas. We so deeply appreciate your generosity in time and energy to meet us in this conversation. Every single message is helping us see more into where we are in this process and what is needed to become a better ally to marginalized and oppressed groups and to have the work of Co-Active be more accessible to everyone. Because of the volume of messages we have received, we will not be able to respond to each one directly. Instead, we are currently gathering all of the correspondence we have received, and continue to receive, in a centralized place and organizing it into categories. This way, when we are in stages of action, we will be able to apply these contributions in a meaningful way.
In the upcoming weeks, we will be sharing where we have been pointing our energy and investing our time and the outcomes of that effort. In that update and in future updates, we hope you will see how your feedback is being considered and included. We will address your feedback, thoughts and ideas directly in these communications, on our website and in our actions.
In an effort to respect everyone’s inbox preferences, we are asking you to please visit our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion web page and subscribe if you would like to continue to get updates on the progress we are making. Additionally, if you want to continue to contribute your thoughts and ideas, please use the feedback form at the bottom of the page.
We will continue to look deep within to understand who we are in relationship to this body of work. We will count on our relationship with you to keep co-creating the evolution of this community. And we will together create a more accessible and inclusive place to support systemic change in our world.
With respect and appreciation,
Carey and Carlo
